In the modern world, where the amount of data in every aspect of our work and life rapidly increases each and every day, the idea and use of databases has become extremely important. We can find them in various situations; from scientific research or nuclear plants, to electronic diaries in schools or grocery store lists. Popular online streaming services, such as Netflix, use databases to generate lists of TV shows and movies that the user prefers by using their previous searches. By giving us the opportunity to organize and sort data into databases, we can take raw data and process it into graphs and tables that can be used to better understand and correlate the results. Databases take humanities’ natural need for order and expands it into our lives, searching and receiving data, communicating with other people and their work and also storing data for later use or for organization; all of this saves time and energy that could be used to understand and explain the data to help the world advance.
